Norfolk 1B Al Cruz has broken The Bigs consecutive game hit streak mark of 28 games set by Fargo outfielder Rico Valdes in season 3. Cruz's record-breaking streak began, ironically, against the Dirtbags back in late November. Cruz went on to hit safely in 30 consecutive games before Willie Pineda and the Kansas City Scouts held him hit-less.
